This training program aims to prepare participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the (CME-1) exam in both parts; its first part (Introduction to Securities and Investment "International Curriculum") and second part (Saudi Capital Market Rules and Regulations "General"), and this exam is mandatory by the Capital Market Authority for most of those wishing to work in the capital markets. This exam is considered a foundational legislative exam that gives an overview of the Saudi capital market. 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

·       Understand the Saudi Capital Market Laws and Regulations for Securities and Investment

·       Be proficient in performing the work of securities and investment functions related to international regulations, represented in the international approach

·       Master the performance of securities and investment functions related to the Saudi regulations represented in the general approach

·       Understand the legislative aspect of securities and investment

·       Be able to pass the first part exam, the passing score in the first part is 70%

·       Be able to pass the second part exam, the passing score in the second part is 70%

2 Lectures
Part One
  • Chapter One: Introduction to the Financial Services Sector, which constitutes 3 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Two: Economic Environment, which constitutes 3 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Three: Equity/Shares, which constitutes 9 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Four: Bonds, which constitutes 7 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Five: Other Financial Assets, which constitutes 5 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Six: Financial derivatives, which constitutes 4 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Seven: Investment Funds, which constitutes 6 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Eight: Regulations and Ethical Principles, which constitutes 5 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Nine: Other Financial Products, which constitutes 5 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Ten: Financial advice, which constitutes 3 % of the relative weight of the exam
Part Two
  • Chapter One: Introduction to the Saudi Stock Market, which constitutes 7 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Two: Securities Business Regulations, which constitutes 4% of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Three: Licenses, which constitutes 4% of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Four: Regulatory Requirements, which constitutes 13% of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Five: Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism Laws, which constitutes 5 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Six: Prohibited behaviors, which constitutes 7 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Seven: Regulations of Capital Market Institutions, which constitutes 6 % of the relative weight of the exam
  • Chapter Eight: Control Systems and Procedures, which constitutes 4 % of the relative weight of the exam
